Turnip Mash
Equipment
- 1 Large Pot
- 1 Stick blender
Ingredients
- 5 large Turnips Peeled and cut into 1.5 cm cubes
- 40 grams Cream cheese
- 30 ml Sour Cream
- 2 cloves Garlic peeled
- 45 grams Butter
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley - Flat-leaf to garnish
Instructions
- Place the turnip and garlic in a large pot of cold water and bring to the boil.
- Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes or until the turnips are tender.
- Drain the turnips and garlic.
- Add the cream cheese, sour cream and butter. Use a stick blender to puree until creamy and smooth
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Let sit for 5 minutes, then blend again for 1 minute.
- Serve warm, garnished with parsley
