Fruit and Nut Choc Block

Make your own Choc block. Next time you make this - you can add other fillings.

Equipment

  • 18 x 18cm baking tray, frying pan, small pot

Ingredients

  • 125 grams Almonds
  • 150 grams Coconut oil
  • 15 ml Honey - Runny
  • 5 ml Vanilla Extract
  • 250 grams Cocoa or Cacao
  • 100 grams Raisins
  • 100 grams Sultanas

Instructions

  • Put the almonds in a frying pan and toast them on med-high heat until brown. Shake the pan every 30 seconds to ensure they all get brown. Set aside to cool.
  • Melt the coconut oil, honey and vanilla in a pot over a low heat.
  • Remove from the heat and add cocoa and stir until well blended.
  • Throw in the nuts, sultanas and raisins and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture out into a small tray lined with baking paper.
  • Refrigerate until set. Cut into pieces and store in the fridge.
