ORIENTAL GREEN BEANS

Oriental Green Beans

This is a simple way to enliven green beans.

Equipment

  • Steamer, small frypan

Ingredients

  • 450 grams Beans - Green
  • 15 ml Cold Pressed Olive Oil Extra Virgin
  • 5 ml Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 2.5 cm fresh Ginger root finely chopped
  • 30 ml Dark Soy Sauce

Instructions

  • Steam beans for 4 minutes or until beans are just tender.
  • Meanwhile, heat the Olive and Sesame oils in a small frypan, add garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the ginger and soy sauce and cook, stirring constantly, for a further 2 - 3 minutes until the liquid has reduced.
  • Pour this mixture over the warm beans and leave for a few minutes to allow the flavours to mingle before serving.
  • Enjoy.
